Life is about to get real....but not yet

We have honestly grown up a lot in the past four years.  We got married. I got a big-girl job and learned to cook some (debatable).  He started and survived dental school.  We've somehow been able to pay all our bills (aren't you proud, Mom?!).  We've voted a couple of times.  We've put together two entire puzzles and I have even recently let go of chocolate chip so that oatmeal raisin could reign as my favorite cookie.  These are the kinds of things that can make you feel old after a while if you really think about it.  We are too young to be at this level of maturity, right? I mean, oatmeal raisin?!?! PUZZLES?! ...this is nursing home stuff, people...

We have got to slow this thing down....

So we have come up with a plan.  A super awesome, once in a lifetime kind of plan.

We figured if things are moving too fast, we must not be procrastinating like we know we are capable of.  So, what better way to do that than to forget about everything and leave all responsibilities behind for a month or so.  We know that "the real world" is staring us right in the face.  Daniel has graduated and is on the cusp of beginning his career.  We are picking up and moving a couple of states away in about two months, leaving family and friends back home.  So we basically have one last chance to do something outrageous. We plan to take full advantage of that opportunity.

We have actually been planning and saving for this trip for at least two years, just in case something crazy happened and we were somehow, accidentally able to take it.  Well, as it turns out, I have quit my job and it takes about six weeks to get a dental license after graduation sooo... here we go!!

I'm so excited, I won't sleep a wink tonight! I have always wanted to see the West Coast but I never thought I'd be able to see the whole thing in one trip. I hope you'll follow along with us for the next 35 days to see a genre of God's creation that will be totally new to us.

Next stop - Dallas, TX!
